Top Hat Turtle Brownies

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup sweet butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 10 oz. jar Southern Sin
    OR Top Hat Caramel Sauce and 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Melt chocolate over hot water. Meanwhile, sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Set aside.

Cream the sugar and butter together in large bowl. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each. Add vanilla. Stir in melted chocolate and flour mixture.

Pour the batter into a buttered 9x13x2 pan.

Bake at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes.

Warm Sauce in pan of hot water. Remove brownies from oven and, when cool, gently pour Sauce over. Sprinkle with pecans, if using Caramel Sauce.

Refrigerate until serving time.
